Christmas & New Year 2014
It’s New Year’s Eve once again, time does seem to fly but there’s soo much to look forward to in the year to come. We at Dalzells hope you all had a merry and peaceful Christmas and that the big fella in the red suit brought you everything you wished for! Most especially at this time of year we think of and express our thanks to you, our loyal and growing customer base.
A special thanks goes out this year to our long standing and faithful employee Kenny Chambers who retired this Christmas Eve aged 72! Kenny will be known to many having served our customers in exceptional conduct as a delivery driver for nigh on twenty years. We wish Kenny every happiness for the future.
It would appear that the uncertainty in retail (and the economy at large) of the last few years is now cautiously behind us all, although we are certainly not complacent, many new challenges will undoubtedly lie ahead of us but we have much to look forward to. The last year saw us purchase the former Northern/Danske Bank premises adjacent to our store thus alleviating parking in the town and allowing for future expansion in the coming years (stay tuned). Therein we successfully launched the Dalzells Amazon and Dalzells Ebay Store which 6 months later has a Positive Feedback Score of 99.8% from nearly 500 hundred reviews! Our Online Bed & Mattress Store has continued to grow with a host of new exclusive brands including Harrison Beds, Hypnos, Breasley and Jay-Be Guest Beds. We even managed to finally update the store signage after nearly thirty years!
The Year To Come…
A busy year ahead awaits us at Dalzells. further new signage will go up in January at our warehouse at the top of the Main Street, shortly followed by further new signage and building wraps at the shop itself. Following the successful trial of our new bed themed van livery all the remaining vehicles will be similarly styled over the coming months.
Online, our New Electrical Website is now complete and will go live in March following the addition of many thousands of products! While a new lead domain Dalzells.com (Holding Page already up), will go live in February.
There are of course other things in the pipeline but some things will have to stay close to our chest a little longer
As always, our primary endeavour in the year ahead will be to continue to deliver the very Best Deals, Brands and Unbeatable Service to all our wonderful customers!
