Thoughts on Mercenary for Justice

Characters & Performances – John Seeger is the most decorated man from the Gulf War, he is now a mercenary for hire, looking to try and do the right thing for the side that needs fighting for. He is pushed into the latest job to break a drug lords son out of prison, an operation he must get involved in because of the hostages being held being close to his heart. Steven Seagal is an actor we always know what we are going to get, the calm dialogue, the quick fight sequences. Maxine Barnol and Samuel Kay help John with the mission, being the two people, he will trust. Anthony Chapel is the man running the operation, having the connections to get the mission operational, while never wanting to get own hands dirty. The supporting performances are everything you would expect, giving us just want the film needs, a bit of laughter from the good guys and the sinister tone of the villainous characters.

StoryThe story here follows a decorated war veteran turn mercenary that is forced into a job to save loved one, only to turn the table on the people who forced him into the job. This is the type of action story which is going to be easy to watch, with little to over complicate it, keeping everything simple in how the mission is laid out. It doesn’t re-invent the wheel for action films, but does all that it needed to make for a fun late night action film.

ThemesMercenary for Justice is an action film that is filled with plenty of action that will see the bodies pile up, be it hand to hand combat or gunfire, as always it will fall into the idea that the good guys have perfect accuracy compared to the typical villains who never hit a thing.
