Former first lady Melania Trump is releasing a line of limited-edition handcrafted Christmas ornaments and corresponding animated Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to commemorate the holiday season, which she describes as “filled with hope” and “inspired by the American experience and spirit.”
The former first lady is releasing “The Christmas Star” and her new “American Christmas Collection,” which consists of six traditional American Christmas ornaments and their redeemable NFTs, exclusively on MelaniaTrump.com with the assistance of USA Memorabilia.
A blockchain logs the permanent and immutable minting of an NFT. Trump uses the “Solana” “eco-friendly proof-of-stake blockchain protocol” in this instance.
After purchasing and redeeming their Christmas NFTs, the artwork can be saved and displayed as a collectible. They may also choose to sell it directly on the secondary market.
Mrs. Trump stated in a statement to Fox News Digital that Christmas is a wonderful time to be with family and friends. This holiday season will be one of inspiration and optimism.
The former first lady continued by expressing her “gratitude” and “thanks to the brave individuals who keep us safe at home and overseas.” Trump designed both the limited-edition “Christmas Star” ornament and the NFT.
Trump told Fox News Digital, “My creative inspiration for the upcoming holiday season is hope, and naturally, the star embodies this spirit. My hope is for families across the world to use the Christmas Star ornament to inspire their loved ones with positive purpose, aspirations and values as we enter the new year. This holiday season, remember to aim high to reach your full potential.”
The brass ornaments’ NFTs cost between $35 and $45 and are produced domestically. Each will be engraved with Mrs. Trump’s signature.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the “Be Best” initiative “Fostering the Future,” which provides educational opportunities and scholarships for children in the foster care community.
This semester, the first two scholarship recipients began their college careers at Middle Tennessee State University and Oral Roberts University.
The “Christmas Star” will be available for pre-order beginning September 15 and ending October 2. All ornaments ordered by October 2 will be delivered before Christmas.
