It almost feels like a parody at some points but truly, it takes the best elements from the world’s repertoire of movies about prehistoric giants and turns the whole thing into a bombshell of entertainment. It’s gory, violent, dark, at some points, and yet is lighthearted. That is a good direction if not an accident.
