A meeting between the Ceylon Workers’ Congress and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was held at President’s House, Colombo yesterday (04). During this meeting, they discussed plans to establish a University in the Hill Country at the request of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress and several points, including increasing the daily wage of Estate workers to Rs.1,000 and about the Teaching Assistant appointments. Leader of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress Senthil Thondaman, State Minister Jeevan Thondaman and Member of Parliament M. Rameshwaran were present on the occasion.
