Meet the Designer: Lindsay Weinstein

1. How and when did Lindsay Rae designs get started?I have always been very crafty.  Growing up, we use to always make friendship bracelets and necklaces at camp and it was something I loved.  During my Senior year at the University of Wisconsin- Madison (2009), I had finished up my classes a semester early and decided I needed something to occupy my time during the day. I went into the local bead store and started making bracelets.  All of my friends and Mom's friends loved them and that is how I started selling them.

2. How do you get your ideas for the different pieces?I get ideas from magazines, reading fashion blogs, and things I see in stores.  3. Who is at the top of your list of designer inspirations?I don't think there is one designer that inspires me in particular.  I do love mixing my funky, beaded bracelets with my nice real gold and diamond pieces.  I think it adds something fun to my dainty pieces.  4. What's the 5 year plan for LRD?In the next 5 years I am hoping to continue to grow my business. A website would be great, and I would love to get in more stores locally and even nationally.  I would also like to expand my collection and branch out using new materials!Lindsay and I are doing an Instagram giveaway that will be posted live at 12 noon CT {today-1/28/14}.
