MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G is another entry-level 5G chipset from Taiwan based Chip Maker. MediaTek also unveiled two new processors for Chromebooks MT8195 and MT8192. The company also teased a 6nm based high-end chipset having Cortex A78 performance cores that are also powered in the Kirin 9000 chipset.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G Specifications and features
MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G is similar in most of the specifications. The Dimensity 700 includes 2x Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. At max, it can pair with 12Gb of LPDDR4X RAM at a frequency of 2,133MHz and UFS 2.2 two storage up to 1Gbps transfer speed.
The Dimensity 700 5G SoC comes integrated with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU slightly different to Mali-G57 MC3 GPU of MediaTek Dimensity 720. The new MediaTek chipset also supports an FHD+ display with up to 90Hz refresh rate. The processor has 64-megapixel primary camera support along with the AI camera enhancements.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC comes with a 5G modem that supports carrier aggregation and can provide 2.77Gbps download speeds. The company has provided dual 5G support along with MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology to provide power efficiency. The chipset also includes multiple voice assistant support including Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, among others.

MediaTek MT8192 and MediaTek MT8195 specifications
MediaTek MT8192 is based on 7nm while MediaTek MT8195 is based on a 6nm fabrication process. Both of them are designed for Chromebooks, MT8195 for premium variants while MT8192 for the mainstream version. Both chipsets come with an AI processing unit (APU) and a dedicated audio digital signal processor (DSP) to work with voice assistants.
The MediaTek MT8192 chipset is an octa-core SoC that includes 4x Cortex-A76 cores and 4x Cortex-A55 cores. While MediaTek MT8195 SoC includes 4x Cortex-A78 performance cores along with 4x Cortex-A55 efficient cores. Both come integrated with a 5-core ARM Mali-G57 GPU and supports LPDDR4x RAM of up to 2,133MHz frequency along with UFS 2.1 storage.
MediaTek MT8192 and MediaTek MT8195 support 4K HDR video decoding to provide excellent video quality with high power efficiency. Additionally, the chipsets also support PCI-Express Gen 3 and USB 3.2 Gen 1. The SoCs include Dolby Vision, 7.1 surrounds sound, and a Codec AV1 video accelerator. Both the chipsets are stated to arrive in Q2 2021 in the Chromebooks.
