Redmi K40 series phone powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC
Xiaomi is all set to launch the successor of the Redmi K30 series very soon. Today, Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing confirmed that one of the devices from the Redmi k40 series could be powered by Mediatek’s upcoming flagship chipset, which is rumored to be called Mediatek Dimensity 1200.
He said, “The K30 Extreme Edition equipped with Dimensity 1000+ is extremely popular, and it has now reached the end of the product. In 2021, the new Dimensity flagship chip is coming soon”. Although, Mediatek is also ready to launch its new processor for high-end flagship devices on 20th January, So, probably, One of the phone from the Redmi K40 series could be the first device that will be powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
A couple of days ago, Lu Weibing also shared the teaser of the upcoming redmi k40 which revealed the starting price and some of its key specifications as well. As per earlier reports, Redmi K40 is powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC and packed with a 4000mah battery. The starting price of the device is 2999 yuan (around Rs.33,999).
