Healthy, affordable meals delivered to your door – simple, convenient, and just what the doctor ordered for those too tired, too lazy, or those I’m just flat out not in the mood for cooking nights. I have those sort of nights more than I’d care to admit so I was super excited when I stumbled across Plated on Instagram recently. After I saw how yummy everything looked on their feed, I had to do some research and find out more deets on them. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked them up. It’s affordable and extra simple. Each week the menu features 7 chef designed recipes to choose from. Then you pick your delivery dates and a box of fresh ingredients complete with instructions on how to prepare your meal arrive at your door on the selected dates. Pretty simple right!?

While the excitement of discovering Plated was still fresh on my brain, I decided to do some research to find more similar choices (and ones that didn’t involve a late night drive through stop complete with a quarter pounder meal). The results of my research – there are more healthy options out there than I thought, ones that don’t break the bank and are super convenient…double score! Check out more details below and let me know what you think! Do you have a favorite healthy meal option that’s both convenient and affordable? Do share!

Plated. Affordable memberships. $8 or $10/month with meals priced at $12/plate for both options. Don’t want to sign up for a membership? No problem! You can pay as you go for $15/plate. I love that their ingredients are sourced locally and that the menus are created based on what fresh ingredients are available in your area! They also deliver in recyclable boxes and donate food and resources to deserving organizations and charities. No brainer here people.

Pressed Juicery. 12 juices/month for $160. A bit more pricey but at a breakdown of $13/juice that would be about what I spend on lunch several times a week and much healthier! You can also just opt to do a juice cleanse which is great if you’re in need of a boost or a fresh start in the right direction!

Blue Apron. Delivery once a week with all the ingredients you need to make 3 tasty meals. Price: about $60/week. Not even my grocery bill for the week ya’ll.

Hello Fresh. Amazing menu selection. Middle Eastern Spiced Chicken, Seared Steak, and Fish Tacos were just a few of the choices on the menu this week. Yum!
