Me Before You by @jojomoyes

Lou Clark knows lots of things.

She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun teashop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live.

He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that. What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour.

Oh, Jojo Moyes, how could you make me fall in love with Will and Lou then tear my heart from my chest and shred it in front of me? Me Before You is the first book that's properly made me cry this year. I've avoided reading this because of the hype surrounding it and I haven't seen the movie. It fit the Popsugar category so I went with it. This is an incredible book. I knew it dealt with the topic of assisted suicide so the events at the end shouldn't have surprised me but I was in tears. There are plenty of hints where the book is heading but I kept reading, hoping for a different outcome. I'm still crying. This will stay with me for a long time.
