It had been some time since my last visit to the Oakland Aviation Museum, located on the fringe of Oakland International Airport (OAK). This Skyhawk looks rather complete and appears to only need an appropriate paint job. This was the two-seater training version of the “Scooter”, as the Skyhawk was nicknamed. This aircraft served as a weapons test aircraft at NAS China Lake before retirement in 2005.
