A visit to the busy New Orleans Lakefront Airport allowed me to get some views of this visiting Goshawk. The VT-9 Tigers is one of two U.S. Navy strike jet training squadrons based at nearby Naval Air Station Meridian. Based on the British Aerospace Hawk, the T-45 has been used by the United States Navy as an aircraft carrier-capable trainer since 1991. 221 aircraft were delivered with production ending in 2009.
