Another pre-ISAP image taken at the annual airshow at Moffett Field with my 4MP Nikon Coolpix 4500.   NASA operates four F/A-18′s for research support and pilot proficiency.  First flown in 1978, the F/A-18 is still in service with close to 1800 built. The US Navy’s Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron have been flying the F/A-18 Hornet since 1986.
