While in town for the LA County airshow, I had read about an F-4 on display in downtown Lancaster and decided to go find it.  On display in Boeing Plaza since 2002, this F-4 was acquired from nearby Edwards Air Force Base and transported to USAF Plant 42 where Boeing volunteers restored the aircraft to display condition.  First flown in 1965, the D-model was an F-4C with updated avionics and radar. 825 were produced for the Air Force.  Nikon D500 w/18-200mm.
