For many years, Vertical Challenge was a popular all-helicopter airshow put on by the Hiller Aviation Museum. This was a perfect showcase for all the local agencies to bring their helicopters to the public. This BK117 is from the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University. The BK 117C1 was the last product of a joint venture between Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) of Germany and Kawasaki of Japan. MBB was later purchased by Daimler-Benz and eventually became a part of Eurocopter. Panasonic FZ30, processing with Aperture.
