Infamous boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather has been released from prison today one month prior to schedule. While we all know Mayweather from his outstanding high profiled boxing career (43-0 record, 26 knockouts), fight at Wrestlemania with WWE superstar Big Show, and known celebrity associates such as 50 Cent (Rapper), Rey Mysterio (WWE wrestler), and Justin Beiber (Popstar), over the past year Mayweather has been on the news in a different light.
After assaulting his former girlfriend Josie Harris, last year while two of their three children watched, Mayweather was charged and pled guilty to [reduced] domestic battery charges, sending him to prison in Las Vegas for what was supposed to be 87 days. Mayweather was released one month early for good behavior and “work time”.
Mayweather was originally sentenced in December, but the judge gave Mayweather the opportunity to turn himself in on June 1st so that he could fight Miguel Cotto which judging by his 43-0 record, he won!
While Mayweather got a chance to plead guilty to reduced charges that sentenced him to only 3 months in jail instead of 34 years, got a chance to turn himself in 6 months after the intended date so that he could participate in a boxing match that earned him millions of dollars and the fact he was kept away from all 3,200 inmates because he was “high-profiled”, Mayweather still managed to complain. Mayweather called his livng conditions in the Las Vegas prison “cruel and unusual”.
After being released from prison, Mayweather hugged friends and family outside the prison before driving away with friend 50 Cent.
