Hi Pixies! Last week I finally ran out of my trusty foundation and had the hard job of trying to find a good replacement and after much swatching different products under the harsh lights in Boots I finally decided on the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream.
One of the main things that attracted me to it was that it says that it's for oily skin which is something that I suffer with on a daily basis (boo!) I also thought that because Summer Holiday is right around the corner I don't want to be clogging up my skin with a heavy foundation that will just cause my skin to break out more, whereas the BB creams are supposed to be lighter and more sunshine friendly.
Happily the claim on the bottle is true to it's word as I found that it kept my skin very matte and smooth, I find that dewy finish foundations just add to the oily skin look. It also stayed put when the British weather decided to bucket down with rain, so there's another check on the 'positives' check list, and one of the most important things of all that I look at when I try a new foundation - it didn't look 'cakey'! (I don't like to look like I've been in a orange fight.) I find that this BB cream would be perfect if you just want a simple daytime look with not too much make-up, maybe just a lick of lipgloss and mascara, however for a nighttime look you may want something with a bit more coverage.
