For the National Restaurant Association 2014 Show blog, I’ve agreed to walk the floor asking people what they’ve learned. The answers will be posted for a few weeks or so after the show on their blog, on the NRA Show site—although I am posting entries as the Show goes on.
Best thing I’ve seen so far? A guy came up to a bunch of us Show-goers waiting for the Shuttle bus in front of our hotel and handed us boxed water. Sustainable, cool and retro (reminding you both of a miniature milk carton and those little boxes of milk you got in kindergarten), and easily brand-able with an individual restaurant’s graphics and messages, as a white label dealie. As one of the guys standing next to me said, “It’s the blinding flash of the obvious.”
A box of water will not be found floating in the North Pacific gyre. (Google North Pacific gyre if you don”t know about it already.)
