Shubarev Maxim was born in in 1968 into a family of engineers. He grew up in an environment typical of those times – going to school, playing sports, and enjoying time with his friends. Like many of his fellow teenagers, he dreamt of serving in the military and pursuing a career in the armed forces.

After his discharge, he returned to his hometown of Leningrad, where he continued to develop his profession at the leading polytechnic university in the city (before his military service, he had studied at an institute that prepared specialists for the aviation instrument-making industry and had worked at an industrial enterprise).
