You may not know him by name, but Maurice “Mobetta” Brown has appeared on records from the likes of Santigold, Ski Beatz, Prodigy, Talib Kweli, Cee-Lo, and Musiq Soulchild. He has a new album in the works, Maurice vs. Mobetta (his jazz side vs. his hip-hop side), that is due out October 8th.
