The Rakwana Santhi Children’s Home Matron was arrested by the Police in Rakwana yesterday in connection with the incident of abusing 11 girls by her husband.
The Matron was arrested on the charges of concealing information and abetting the incident. Rakwana Police said Court had issued an order for her arrest, but the suspect had been absconding from the Police. A woman who had seen her had alerted the Police of her whereabouts.
The suspect was to be produced before the Rakwana Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Her husband, who was previously arrested in connection with the incident, was remanded till March 8.
