Mastersystem – ‘Notes on a Life Not Quite Lived’ stream

The Hutchison brothers from Frightened Rabbit have teamed up with Editors guitarist Justin Lockey and his brother James from Minor Victories to form the brilliantly titled (for those of a certain age) Mastersystem. Their new band have now dropped ‘Notes on a Life Not Quite Lived’; the first song from debut album Dance Music (our via Physical Education on 6 April) and it’s a fuzzy slice of indie-rock with a big, soaring chorus and visceral lyrics that range from the future falling to its knees to a declaration of ‘I’m a future king’.

Mastersystem will be playing the following tour dates:

April
Wed, 25 – Manchester, The Deaf Institute
Thu, 26 – Newcastle upon Tyne, The Cluny
Fri, 27 – Glasgow, The Art School
Sat, 28 – Leeds, Brudenell Social Club
Mon, 30 – Birmingham, Birmingham O2 Institute 3
May
Tue, 1 – London, Oslo
