The advantage of making food in a glass pot would definitely be the sneak peak of how the food cooks. Check at a distance if things are still going well instead of lifting the lid. That said there are some factors to consider when thinking of buying one. The pot must be heated with the plate and not placed on a pre-heated plate. Because it doesn’t distribute heat the way a normal steel pan would, you would need to add a wire mesh flame spreader if you use a gas stove. It is still glass so sudden heat changes like adding cold water to a hot pot will give you something to cry about. The lid is a quarter of the price of the pot but is a mere silicon sheet (that looks flimsy) instead of glass.
