“Mary Kate” / Buka, Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea / 19 Nov 2014: After visiting villages where women and children are exposed to serious risks on a daily basis because of very limited access to potable water and sanitary toilets, I found Mary Kate helping her mother sell young coconuts along the road for a living. She is just one of the many children in this region exposed to such difficulties and risks.
