Martha Hill – ‘Reborn’ (8 March)

Martha Hill has played shows all over the country (including a well-received set at last year’s Westival) and her singles have already gained her a loyal fan base. After tackling issues including mental health and conformity, ‘Reborn’ is her account of how it feels when you move on to better things after having your heart broken: ‘I’ve been adjusting for a long time, bouncing back is just a pastime’.

Coming off as a more streetwise Laura Marling, this important piece of alt-pop features distinctive guitar, cello and fractured melodies and would appeal to fans of Little Dragon and tUnE-yArDs as Martha shares her top tips including ‘My philosophy’s simple, do exactly what you need to’ and  ‘To preserve the truth, you’ve got to lie. To be reborn you’ve got to die’.
