Marni for H&M directed by Sophia Coppola.

Just a few months after the huge success of Versace at H&M, the Highstreet store has announced yet another designer collaboration, with ANOTHER Italian brand: Marni. The collection will appear in french stores in early March, featuring bold prints, colours combinations and Jewelry for this coming summer season.

As more and more Highstreet/celeb collaborations seem to be happening, I find myself wondering, whats so special? Isnt the point, that we will receive that bargain chunk of luxury which comes but once a year?

And why another Italian brand? Is H&M coming out in support for the struggling Italian economy or is it just coincidence?

This collection will arrive just after the much hypedDavid Beckham Lingerie collection which has been a big hit in the UK and hits France this Thursday. when will it end? is H&M loosing confidence in its own name that it is focusing on profiting from other brand names? I guess we will never know, but one things for sure, the public are eating it up!

And not to forget the clothes, how are they? well although not to my personal taste, I can see the well cut garments selling strongly as seperates and the bold prints will dfo work for the coming season, but my favorite piece has to be the white plastic flower necklace, featured here in the video.
