Maria Sharapova won the 2012 French Open today, beating challenger Sara Errani 6-3, 6-2. With the win, Maria becomes the 10th woman in the Open era to complete a career Grand Slam, having won Wimbledon in 2004, the US Open in 2006, and the Australian Open in 2008. Congratulations Maria!By the way, Sara won the French Open women's doubles final yesterday with her partner Roberta Vinci. While she may not be ecstatic over today's singles result, I'm sure Sara has had a fabulous experience at Roland Garros this year and won't be leaving Paris in too bad of a mood.
