They do say it’s harder to untie a wet knot than a dry not so any wedding with torrential rain must be a very lucky wedding-I should know, it hammered down on our day too!
Spirits weren’t dampened by the rain at Maria and Ben’s wedding. During the morning we captured plenty of laughter as Maria’s Dad treated them to bacon butties and champagne in his new favorite T-shirt. When the time for Maria to step in to her dress you could feel the excitement in the air and it all became a little too much for our gorgeous bride…
The Groom and his entourage had plenty of fun trying to get their ties perfect and the Best Man made many a joke about his shaky hands dropping the wedding rings…
I love capturing everyone in the church waiting for the Bride, they are always so giddy with excitement and the Groom always looks a tad nervous. The moment the Bride arrives you can feel the excitement rise and I just love watching the couple see each other for the first time and go on to say their vows. I thankfully got a phone call from the photographer, Evie, to warn is of the chaos on the M6. Unfortunately the Bride and Groom, and a lot of the wedding party, weren’t so lucky and got stuck in all the traffic! They were a little late but that gave all the guests enough time to de-stress and make the most of the welcome drinks! While the guests enjoyed being entertained by the string quartet the couple sneaked off to get some beautiful couple shots and even braved the rain…
The speeches are always great to film, especially when they come from the heart and unaided by the world wide web…
After the cake cutting (made by Maria’s talented grandparents) their band, The Coolers, played their first dance for them and started the evening off with a bang…
