This month I've been keeping things simple. With shooting our dissertation film and spending long days outdoors, I've not really been too fussed about having a full face of makeup (or indeed doing my hair) - what a wonderful image I'm creating here! The days when we weren't filming and since we wrapped last weekend (yay!) these are the products I've been loving this month.
The Body Shop Shimmer Waves is a great 2 in 1, a great pink blush with a champagne shade that makes a great highlighter plus it doubles up as eyeshadow. I've written a full review here if you're interested.
Bourjois CC Cream is another product I've reviewed on Hello Freckles this month, the post is here if you wanna take a look. I find it to be a great light base for days when I don't want a full face of make up and especially when I'm filming. The SPF 15 is a great addition too but obviously I'll be using higher SPF suncream when the summer months arrive (she says, whilst typing and looking outside at the foggy sky).I finally bought a MAC palette since I'm sick of misplacing my little shadow pots. I decided the quad would be fine as I don't want to be carrying around a big palette and I don't own enough MAC eyeshadows to fill one. I did buy 'wedge' and 'quarry' when I bought the palette (from Debenhams when they had 10% off, love a good bargain!) and I've been using 'wedge' pretty frequently as a base for a everyday smoky eye. If you'd like me to do a full post on my MAC palette, let me know! Finally, a non-beauty favorite that I picked up this month is the Brandenburg Gate Pandora charm. Ever since I spotted it in Berlin, I wanted to buy it but for some reason I thought I'd wait until I got home. I've looked in so many stores, online and even sent my Aunt searching in the airport where she works since there's a huge departure lounge and duty free. Sadly, I had no luck but in Newcastle Airport when I was waiting for my flight to Exeter a couple weeks ago, I spotted the oh-so familiar Pandora logo and dived into the store, excitedly asking the assistant if they had the charm. It was clearly meant to be as she wrapped up the last one in stock and I happily left with the little beauty that will forever remind me of the amazing time I had in Berlin. I've got posts for part 1, 2 and 3 of our trip if you'd like some travel inspiration! This month I've also been loving Fall Out Boy (review from their Newcastle gig, here) Taking Back Sunday's new album 'Happiness Is' and Wonderland Magazine, Emma Watson's guest edit is fab and she looks incredible on the cover and in those photographs with her interview. What've you been loving this month? You can follow me on Bloglovin | Twitter | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube
