This week I’ve been really loving these two modernized pieces – marble tulip tables and ghost Louis chairs. First up, the marble tulip table featured in Sarah Sherman’s dining room.
From Smitten Studio, Sarah Sherman inspires my latest obsession – marble tulip tables. I love the marriage of traditional marble and a slick modern stand to make a very versatile dining table, which you can successfully feature in a modern or traditional room. Check out the best marble-top tables below:

Next up, the Ghost Louis Chair, my favorite statement chair. This chair takes a spin on the classic Louis XVI chair and gives it a modern upgrade. Check out this video from Kartell, that introduces the chair.
Architect and designer Phillippe Starck designed this chair in 2002 for Kartell, and it quickly became and icon of postmodern furniture.
I loved learning the history and background of this classic chair, and thanks to the One Kings Lane Home Decor Resource I was able to find out everything I needed to know (and more) about statement chairs like this.
