Photo Mannequin: Le Corps De La Mode.
Spent the afternoon at a lovely little exhibition at Cité de la mode in Paris, A fashion exhibition which celebrates the fashion model as far back as the 1920s and even before…
Looking at everything from the dress makers mannequin to the changing body types of models through the 20th century to the supermodel of the 90s and the size zeros of the last decade. This cosy little gallery aims at putting forward the important role that is played by the woman who wear the clothes on the catwalk and in front of the camera.
Many a familiar face appeared on film, such as Twiggy, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, with the best piece of film being a montage of “the best of Mugler ” -  a film bringing us through the years of the designers most incredible catwalk shows, creation and flamboyant models.
All in all, a lovely way to have wiled away a chilly Paris afternoon, thinking about how woman’s body image has changed and about beauty.through the years. What a great talking point!
