The Police said an individual who entered the Prime Minister’s Official Residence, Temple Trees during the protest on July 9 and stole its property was arrested in Rajagiriya area on Saturday.

The Police have found some brass wall decorations, camera equipment and a camera bag in the suspect’s house.

The police say that the 60-year-old man had entered the Temple Trees with another group under the guise of an activist and stolen the wall decorations from the media office there.

A complaint had been lodged with the Kollupitiya Police that the equipment from the media unit of the Temple Trees has been stolen.

Investigations are continuing to arrest other suspects, who have stolen the property from the Prime Minister’s Official Residence.
