Hambantota Police said that a man was killed when an altercation that took place during a drunken party in the Bandagiriya area of Hambantota went too far.
The deceased is a 35-year-old resident of Bandagiriya in Hambantota.
“A suspect has been arrested over the incident and he was identified as 27 years old, a resident of Bandagiriya area in Hambantota”, Police added. The suspect man was produced before the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Hambantota Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
