The Police Special Task Force (STF), investigating on a drug peddling network operated from Qatar, arrested a suspect with a haul of narcotic substance called ICE (670g) and Rs 1.4 million in cash, on Wednesday in Kotahena. The haul of ICE is said to be worth about Rs.10 million.
The suspect was carrying the drugs to hand them over to a person in Armour Street on the instructions received to him from the drug peddler in Qatar.
The suspect (30) is a resident of Borella. The suspect with his motorcycle, the drug haul and the money has been handed over to Kotahena Police for investigation.
