Malia Obama Was An “Angel” On The Set Of HBO’s Girls

The creators of the HBO series Girls  have spilled the beans on what it was  like having the first daughter, Malia Obama interning for the show.  Lena Durham and Jenni Konner described Malia as an  “angel” and a hard worker, and  confessed that even though her duties were similar to an assistant, they didn’t have her making coffee runs.

“She was interested and she was interning at HBO and they thought, you know, what if she comes a couple days a week to the set of Girls,” Dunham said. “Obviously we weren’t making her go get our coffee, but she wanted to do all the jobs, that was the cool thing. She was totally enthusiastic.”

But there were limitations for the then 17-year-old Malia. For one, she could not be on set during the filming of the show’s infamous sex scenes ( ya’ll know Michelle wasn’t having that). And she also came with an entourage of Secret Service agents.
