Action at Sri Lanka vs Maldives match

Sri Lanka lost to Maldives by 1-0 in the third and final soccer match of the third round of the 2023 AFC Asia Cup Qualifiers played at Markaziy Stadium in Namangan, Uzbekistan on June 14.
The only single goal of the match was scored by Hamzath Mohamed in the 63rd minute. Sri Lanka missed a golden opportunity to equalize the score when Maldives keeper Mohamed Faisal saved De Silva’s penalty in the 69th minute.
However, it is commendable that the Sri Lankan players have played well, relatively improved performance throughout the match.
However, Sri Lanka team failed to gain at least a single victory at the end of the third round of three matches. Sri Lanka lost to Uzbekistan by 3-0 in the first match and then lost 2-0 to Thailand in the second match.
