Confetti is a beautiful ending to a great wedding ceremony. It looks fantastic in pictures and is a great alternative to rice or bird seed. However, there are some venues that will not permit confetti because it’s difficult to clean. Dried flower confetti can look just as beautiful and it’s organic, so many venues won’t have a problem with it.

How to Make Dried Flower Confetti
In order to have dried flower confetti, you will need dried flowers. You should first think about whether you want a specific color of confetti or you just want a rainbow of flower colors in your confetti collection. You can purchase flowers of your choice in order to dry.

Most flowers will dry on their own in a vase while some will need to be hung upside down once they’ve started to wilt. Roses and other larger, thick blossoms do best when hung upside down.
How Much You Should Make
You will need about 1/2 cup to 1 cup for each guest to toss. For larger flowers, like roses and gerbera daisies, this equates to about 3 flowers plus greenery.

Greenery is a great “filler” and will add color and beauty to the confetti as well as stretching it so you can save money. You may also want to consider adding 1-2 drops of a flower essential oil to each cup to provide a beautiful floral smell.
This is a great rice and birdseed alternative that not only looks beautiful but is better for the earth as well as the ceremony venue.
