I made ginger simple syrup for lemonade awhile back and it was a big hit. Now with the cold weather still hanging around, I thought “why not add it to my hot tea?”
I just used a regular simple syrup recipe (1cup sugar and 1 cup water) and tossed in a big handful of chopped up ginger. Brought it to a boil, let it simmer for a bit and then cool down before I strained it and put it in a bottle.
Then I thought better of it and put in the ginger chunks for extra flavor.
