I was a little wary when I saw this recipe on Sally’s Baking Addiction for 30 minute soft pretzels since I usually mess up recipes with yeast. But there’s no waiting for the dough to rise and you can mix everything by hand. Plus, I’m a sucker for anything “30 minutes…”
Well, I have say it took a little longer than 30 minutes but they turned out nicely. And with the baking soda bath, they really do taste like soft pretzels. They went perfectly with this quick cheese sauce and a little mustard. I also got tired of trying to make a pretzel shape, so I rolled out the remaining dough and filled it with spinach and cheese.
