A few weeks ago I found this dress in a local charity shop; I bought it because I just felt that it had a lot of potential, oh, and pink is supposed to be big next season. So, armed with my sewing machine, some threads, beads and needles, I got to work on giving it a new life.
I had to get rid of the top to this pink ensemble. It just, well, eughh, no. It could not be saved.
... I took it in so it fitted my waist.
... then made it shorter and put a zip in the back. ..added some lace to the hem....and beaded it. *Take note, you need to have the patience of a saint to sit and sew each bead on. Now, I'm not saying I actually have the patience of a saint...so for me, this was quite tedious!*
...Finished! I did make the skirt shorter again, so the lace would fall just above my knees. But, I am quite chuffed with my little creation. I will defiantly be doing an outfit post which includes this skirt very soon, maybe even tomorrow. (But if it isn't tomorrow, don't be mad!) I did also buy another item from the same charity shop that I have customised, that post will also be up very soon! Hope you are now inspired to be creative. Bloglovin / Instagram / Tumblr / Twitter
