Maisto Ferrari La Ferrari Remote Control Car 1:24 Scale Review

By Maxwell1212 @MummyToTheMax
The boys of the house are car mad. Ben is obsessed with his car and Maxwell adores his play cars, as he grows older it is clear to see that he will follow in the footsteps of his father and have a strong interest in cars. For Fathers Day this year Ben told me he would love something car related. I thought it would be a brilliant idea to look for something that not only he could use, but something that Maxwell could also use. I thought that a remote control car would be the perfect gift.
Maisto Ferrari La Ferrari Remote Control Car 1:24 Scale Review
Just in time for Father's Day, we were sent the Maisto Ferrari La Ferrari Remote Control Car 1:24 Scale to review. When the car came it was easy to see that the car was presented well in a bright car themed box. The toy looked fantastic and very lifelike to the model of the LaFerrari hybrid sports car from Ferrari. As soon as Ben and Maxwell laid eyes on the toy they both wanted to play with the car straight away.
The model came without batteries which was small pain, it would be brilliant if the model did come with batteries so that they toy was ready to use straight away. The batteries were easy to insert and the model and the remote used two different types of batteries - 2 AA and 2 AAA. Once inserted, the remote and the car were ready to use.
The remote does not have a on and off switch however the car does. Once the car was switched on we were ready to go ahead and play with the model Ferrari. We put the car on a flat, non carpeted surface inside our home and prepared to use the remote to guide the car around the house.

We used the remote for a while and we found that the car was easy to guide. The remote is a full function control, allowing users to drive it in any direction with the simple-to-use pistol-grip style controller. The car accelerates with ease thanks to a grip of a button. One thing that the car does not do is reverse. This was not a problem to us but it may be to other users.
We found that the model of the car was lightweight. The cars sleek design and plastic body allows it to reach respectable speeds on level surfaces. Not only did we try using the car inside but we also used the car outside. The car did work outside on our driveway but we did find the cars speed was a lot slower when in use compared to its speed inside.
The car is suitable for children 8+ and has a RRP of  £17 which I think is reasonable for a fun gift to gift this Fathers Day. Does your Dad love cars? Would he enjoy this gift this Fathers Day?
I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review. However we did receive the product for review purposes. Everything written in this post is my own, honest opinion.
