Main Character Energy is a short comedy following two actors attending an open casting call. It follows them as they try to figure out the gender of their characters getting caught up in exploring how vague casting calls can be.
This is a great examination of why casting calls can become difficult. The new way characters can be written to be adapted for future development of a production. It also explores how daunting the process can be for the actors. The points brought out bring laughs, which help the story flow within a short time. Reflecting the amount of time an actor could have to make an impact.
In the end, this is an enjoyable short movie, we get the laughs, the point across and most importantly. It entertains for the limited run time. This is well worth checking out and I am sure anyone in the acting industry will appreciate the idea.
