Former S.Thomas College cricket captain, SSC Skipper cum Sri Lanka national Under 19 team manager Mahinda Halangoda has been appointed as the National Cricket Team Manager.
According to sources, the Sri Lanka Cricket administration has taken this bold and wise decision in order to motivate and gear up the National Cricket team, which is presently in the doldrums.
Although the national team at present is experiencing a rough patch after successive defeats, a person with no nonsense approach like Halangoda will be able to guide the Sri Lankan national cricket team to glory with his stern discipline.
Sri Lanka’s next assignment will be the tour of Bangladesh in May 2022.
