Luxe Box Bandwagon

By Bewilderedbug @bewilderedbug

I decided to jump on the Luxe Box bandwagon – everyone was raving over this box and I decided that I needed to be part of the action – and whoo boy am I glad I did.

So I finally took up my Shesconnected card for a free Luxebox and ordered it.  And then the anticipation began to build.

It got to a point where I was wondering if they’d forgotten me when a friend of mine told me that she hadn’t gotten hers yet and was supposed to by Thursday, so I waited – and lo and behold, one day I got home and I had the precious LuxeBox waiting for me at my condo security desk!  Yay girly time!

I was so excited that I even asked the security guy on duty, Raj, if he was married – when he said no I asked him if he had a girlfriend ( lucky for him he did or else I would have gone “do you have sisters? no? female cousins? no? a mother?)….and then told him all about Loose Button and the LuxeBoxes and advised him to check it out and buy his girlfriend a subscription for Christmas. (poor guy, he’s a new security guard too…he is still here so I guess I didn’t scare him off after all)

Anyway, when I opened the box, the LuxeBox packaging was so sleek!  Black and white with modern lines and a minimalistic theme.  The simple LooseButton logo on the top and the LuxeBox name written perfectly on the side….Lovely.  Elegant.  Perfect.

The sleek new LuxeBox!

Is this what they mean when they say "appreciate the little things"?

Then I opened it and (possibly) squealed – it had a sticker with my name on it holding the tissue together (it really is the little personalized things that make my day I swear!).  I was so giddy about the sticker that I refused to rip it, instead I ripped the black tissue paper instead…and then remembered I had to take photos for this blog.  So yes, I fake stuck it back and took the photo…could you tell?

(What’s that you say?  It’s a lot of packaging?  Yep, it sorta is, but the packaging is such that you can come up with a million and one ways to reuse the boxes – a few are mentioned in this guest blog by my good friend Jen, the Canadian Coupon Mom on the Loose Button blog.)

I don't know who packs these things but GOOD JOB fitting everything in there like that!

As I opened the black tissue paper doors, cosmetic heaven sat in front of me in the little box!

My LuxeBox swag :)

This was the November Luxe Box so this was what was in there:  A Lise Watier Neiges Eau du parfum spray, a Mereadesso Lip Treats (fullsize), a Benefit Cosmetics B. Right! Total Moisture Facial Cream, a Benefit Cosmetics B. Right! Moisture Prep Toning Lotion and two bonus items (Teaopia Cactus Fig Tea Kit and an Oil of Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex).  Then there were some awesome teabags for the loose leaf tea from Teaopia.

Oh, and did I mention that it came with a description of each item, instructions on how to use it and brew it, a coupon for Teaopia and a small note asking me to review the Oil of Olay product?  So awesome and foolproof!

The whole experience was awesome – why?  Well….because I’m a girl and don’t get to do girly stuff that often…because I’m in love with Loose Button and the people who work there (I met Aditya and Yasmin at the #ShoesConnected party in September) and because I’ve really wanted to try a lot of these products myself in the past and have always been to scared to!  This is a really good option to try all those things that you’ve been staring at for months and have been thinking are out of you budget or “what if it doesn’t work?  Then I’ll just waste money and product!”.   (Come on, you know you’ve done this too!)

Also, the cactus fig tea sounds absolutely interesting…can’t wait for my Mom to come over tomorrow so that we can try!

So thank you Loose Button for that awesome Luxe Box, I will definitely be signing up for more!

In the meantime, I’m hoping to win one of your Lancome LuxeBoxes from the facebook Lancome Luxebox Contest from Loose Button.

I’m one of the 35 or so bloggers who are competing – and I will win one Lancome Luxebox for myself and one to give away on this blog.

Come on guys, I know a lot of you are cosmetic fanatics, so help me out and go vote for Bewildered Bug once a day (as much as you can) until December 9th.

Once you are on the facebook page, you “LIKE” the Loose Button page and go to the left sidebar and click on Lancome Luxe Box Contest.  Then you fill out a short form and you will see all the blogs you can vote for – you can vote for as many as you like once a day, but if you want a LuxeBox from ME (which you do cause you’re here right?) you need to vote for me.

You never know, you may be the one who wins one of these amazing little boxes of happiness! (I hope you are!)
