I think it’s fair to say that London’s summer was resembling the temperatures you might be enjoying on a beach in Dubai, and I’m sure there was quite a few of us hoping for a spot of rain just to cool us down!
We’ve had a scorching hot summer with everyone covered in tans with their matching Ray Bans, enjoying ice cream with our friends, barbecues with our families and dressing in festival chic in the style of Vanessa Hudgens and Jared Leto. However, based on the past fortnight, it looks like London’s summer is well and truly over and it’s that time of year where it’s going to be raining cats and dogs every other day! Now any Brit will know that means to put away the sunglasses and flip-flops and say farewell to Saturday afternoon beer gardens in Shoreditch and Sunday afternoon tanning sessions on Camden Locks and get out the raincoats and wellies and say hello to the massive puddles in Alexandra Palace!
Now any fashionista will proudly admit it can get a bit depressing reusing your old gear, but you’re in luck because one of the Neon team’s favorite designers pop-art inspired accessory designer, Lulu Guinness is collaborating with shopping network, QVC to produce some weather ready and quintessentially British umbrellas, which I’ll not only be getting one of my own but definitely be doing a selfie in.
