True-Blood-01-Lucy-Griffiths-410x600True Blood, Lucy Griffiths, played Eric’s vampire sister, Nora in seasons 5 and 6 before she died the true death last season.  Right after her death on True Blood we reported that she had been signed for a new show called, Constantine. In that show she was cast as the lead female character, but it’s now been announced that her part has been cut.

Lucy was introduced as one of the key cast members of the pilot, with Liv a daughter of one of John Constantine’s dead friends.

Constantine is still being filmed and will premiere this fall on NBC, and a report says that Lucy was let go after producers decided her role of Liv simply didn’t fit with the show.

In place of Liv, the drama will add Zed, a psychic who teams up with Constantine to battle various evil forces. No word yet on who will take on this new role.

We wish Lucy the best and know she will find another project more suited to her talents.
