Story: Luckiest Girl Alive starts when Ani Fanelli (Kunis) is preparing for her wedding day to Luke (Wittrock). She works for a big publication, but her past is haunting her. A documentary filmmaker Aaron Wickersham (Abuzeid) wants to make a movie about an incident in Ani’s life.
Ani is one of the survivors of a school shooting, where another had previously accused her of being involved. She has never spoken about it before and now she will give away the secret once and for all.

Characters
Ani is a successful writer that is going to get married soon and start the next chapter of her life. She has a haunted past from her school years, where she was one of the school shooting survivors. Ani has lived with the idea that she was part of it, despite her deeper position involved in it, showing a different light. She is finally willing to address what happened for a new documentary, only to bring back traumatic memories.
During Ani’s journey, we get to meet the different people in Ani’s life. Her current friends and family only see the colder side of her. While the younger version goes through the high school politics of bullies and society people who think they can get away with anything.
Performances
Mila Kunis is great as the older Ani, while Chiara Aurelia goes through the worst moments in the movie. She gives a more powerful performance, while Mila shows how a victim has lived with the pain for decades.
In the supporting performances, everyone is great, getting to make the most of the biggest moments in the movie.
Story
The story follows a victim of a school shooting that has gone on to become a successful powerful woman. She lived with the trauma of what happened to her for decades and now a chance to look back on the events can finally give her freedom.
The story focuses on the victims of traumatic events, using the school setting to grab the attention. It has a much deeper side to being a victim, a silent victim and needing to speak up against the people who abused them. There is a clear message about not hiding and being a victim and letting your voice be heard.
