Following praise and acclaim from BBC 6 Music and Radio 1 and now-cancelled slots at The Great Escape and Live at Leeds, Hull-based quintet Low Hummer have shared new single ‘Picture Bliss’.
The fuzzy and amped-up three minutes will delight fans of guitar bands including My Vitriol, Sleater-Kinney and Pup as the crunching riffs come in and Daniel Mawer laments the fact that ‘the world will never be the same, it’s filled with hate’. If this didn’t show you how much he’s despairing at the state of things, he follows it up by claiming ‘the world is going up in flames and I promise you we can only lose’ while the hooks bring in a catchy chorus.
