Low Battery Anxiety: Are you also troubled by the low battery of your smartphone? A recent report by market research firm Counterpoint Research has claimed that 72 percent of Indian users are bothered by low battery life of smartphones. The discharging battery of the phone annoys the Indian users. In this report it is named as Low Battery Anxiety. It has a mental effect on the users. Most of the users get upset when the battery of the phone is low.
Low battery bothers
According to this study, 65 percent of Indian smartphone users have admitted that their mood gets spoiled due to the draining battery of the phone. At the same time, 72 percent of the users believe that they get upset when the battery of the phone reaches 20 percent. Whereas, 40 percent of the users say that they look at the phone screen first before sleeping and after waking up. It shows how much users are attached to their smartphones.
The study also revealed that 87 percent of smartphone users use their phones while charging and charge their phones at least twice a day. 60 percent of Indian users say that they also change the phone for better battery.
Smartphone companies will be alert
The study categorized low battery anxiety into six different categories, including Worry/anxiety, Isolated, Helpless, Fear of missing out, Nervous, and Insecure. Anxiety is the most common emotion, chosen by 28 per cent of the respondents. After the arrival of this report, Indian users can get benefit.
Smartphone companies can improve battery life and charging infrastructure. Also, manufacturers will try to improve the battery of the phone based on the mindset of Indian users when they launch new smartphones in the market.
Big battery and fast charging offers
In the last few years, brands like Samsung, Infinix, Realme, Redmi have started providing 6000mAh or above batteries in their smartphones. Because of this, there is no need to charge the smartphone twice in a day. Also, the operating system maker Google is also offering software optimization for better battery life.
Apart from this, companies are offering fast chargers up to 210W for fast charging of the phone’s battery. At least 33W fast charging is being offered in budget phones being launched nowadays, which almost halves the charging time of the phone.
