Love You most...Valentine's Day Card...

By Midwesterngirl @MidwesternGirl5
Today I'm sharing a little Valentine's Day card I made for my 10-year-old daughter.
We say "love you most" to each other all the time, so I thought it would be fun to give her a little reminder that I really do love her most...

The base of my card is one of Heidi Swapp's Color Magic Cards. I sprayed the heart with Sweet Cherry Color Shine and used the pin dot stencil from Heidi's new Bracket Stencil Set and a teal ink pad to create the pattern on the inside of the card.
*TIP: To use a stencil with an ink pad, simply ink up a foam makeup sponge and use that to color over your stencil. You'll find you have a lot more control over the placement and intensity of the ink.
Now...for the fun part. I embossed some Heidi Swapp Clear White Acrylic letters with gold Zing embossing powder to give them texture and sparkle. Now, you may think this was easy. Yeah, no. You'd be wrong.
Apparently acrylic (aka plastic) melts when exposed to high heat (like the heat from an embossing heat dryer gun thing).
Yes, I did know this before starting. But I thought - it won't happen this time - science only works when I'm not crafting. Right?
But I did find a way to make it work...sorta. 'Cause darned if I'm gonna waste any of these awesome letters, right?

I just made sure to hold the heat up really high from the letter...and when it started to curl and bend, I simply removed the heat and pushed down the curling parts or re-formed the deformed places. The embossing is not perfect...far from it, actually...just look at that wonky "T"...but I like it well enough. And I'm totally loving the gold, teal & red together.
I attached the letters with staples and glue & finished out embellishing my card with sequins, gold Color Shine drops and a few glittery stars.
Some gold baker's twine wrapped around the fold in the card gives the card that final touch...
Really simple and fun! I hope Kinsley loves it...
